I am descended from this JONES family by way of my mother. Currently, we know this family back to Aaron JONES (1751-1784), who, it is said by some, married Nancy CLAYTON. Aaron JONES and Nancy CLAYTON had at least one child, a son named Isaac Aaron JONES, who was born before April of 1783 in Georgia, and died in 1821 in Morgan County, Georgia. Isaac Aaron JONES was married to Malinda "Milley" CLAYTON. Their children are listed as follows: William Riley, John Barney, Seaborn Greene, Patcey, Aaron Francis Flourney, Eleanor, Isaac Willingham, Rachel and Milley JONES.

The oldest child, William Riley JONES, was my Great Great Grandfather. He was born in 1807 and died in 1869. He was married to Mary Ann ALLEN, daughter of Robert A. "Major" ALLEN and Frances HESTER. They had the following children: Robert Isaac, John Milner, Seaborn Alexander W., Martha Frances, Molinda Mildred, Josiah Allen, William Riley and Thomas Cisero JONES.

Martha Frances JONES was my Great Grandmother. She was born in 1850 in Pike County, Georgia and died in 1927 in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia. She was married to my Great Grandfather, William Taylor HARRIS (son of Benjamin E. HARRIS and Susan PYRON). Their children were: William Jaysen, Charles Newton, Stephen Johnson "Bob", Mary Adona "Donnie", Mildred Vera, George Washington, unnamed famale, LaNora, Lecky Leola, Amanda Viola, Lewis, Jesse Hausclauth, Frances Drudie, James Walter and Pearl Floretta HARRIS. James Walter Harris (1891-1948) was my Grandfather.
